1. How do you log into the KnowVera Research platform through DriveWealth Atlas?

To access the KnowVera Research platform while logged into DriveWealth Atlas, simply click on the blue “KnowVera” tab on the inside of Atlas. KnowVera will then launch as a secondary window that can be used in conjunction with the Atlas app.

2. I didn’t receive my welcome email yet.

If you did not receive your welcome email, please check your Junk mail box, and if you still don’t receive it, then please email us at support@drivewealthedu.com and we’ll be sure to resend it to you.

3. Why is the toolbar greyed out?

When any of the features on the main toolbar are greyed out, it means that you do not have permission to access that component of the application. Please contact your sales associate to gain access.

4. Where is the 50- and 200-bar Moving Average?

F2 will enable and disable the 50-bar Welles MA. F3 will enable and disable the 200-bar Welles MA. Additionally, you can turn the 50- and 200-bar moving averages on or off through the “Properties” menu. Right-click the chart, and select “Properties” from the context menu. When the Properties window opens, look at the Signal Display sub-section. You can turn the 50- and 200-bar moving average on (or off) by checking (or unchecking) the “Show Welles 50 MA” and/or “Show Welles 200 MA” checkbox.

5. How do we resolve a bad tick on a bar?

Tick information comes to us from the exchange. Until they correct the bad tick, it will continue to appear on the chart. They could correct the tick in a matter of minutes, or they might not correct it until until after the market closes. Pressing the F5 key will refresh your charts, and fix the bad tick if the exchange has corrected it.

6. Can the platform run on two computers?

The platform can be installed on multiple computers, but you can only be logged into one of them at a time.

7. Does the application work on Windows 8?

Yes.

8. Does the application work on an Apple operating system?

No, but it will work if you are running Windows on an Apple computer, or through a Windows Emulator (like Parallels Desktop or VMware) on an Apple operating system.

9. Are previous webinars available to view? If yes, what is the link?

The Webinar Replays are in the members area under the Webinars Tab: http://drivewealthedu.com/webinars/

When you get to this page click on Live Class Replays

10. What are the system requirements?

The KnowVera Pattern Recognition application will only run on Windows. These are our minimum requirements:

2 GHz or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor.

1 GB RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)

16 GB available disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)

You MUST have Microsoft .NET Framework 4 installed on your machine. Ensure that you have all of the updates for this version as well.

The video card doesn’t really matter, but the better the video card, the faster the charts are going to react. Additionally, the more charts you open, the more powerful your computer needs to be.

11. Does the system work with options?

KnowVera Research has neither live nor historical option data, but there are clients who are using KnowVera Research to trade options, based on the underlying instrument.

12. I am receiving a “time out” error upon login.

Make sure that you are only logged into one instance of KnowVera Research. If you try and login to another computer while still logged into another one you will receive a “time out” error. Log out of the other instance and then try again. If you are not logged in on another computer and are still receiving this message, contact customer support.

13. How does the KnowVera Trend Monitor Work?

The KnowVera Trend Monitor shows two time intervals at a time, so you should use the longer time interval to tell you what side of the market to be on, and then the shorter time interval to make your entries. For example, if you are looking at the “Scalp” style, and an instrument is saying “Enter Long” on a 5 minute time interval, you would also check the score of the same instrument on a 15 minute time interval to see if you should indeed be going long.

As for the number values, the first number is a Long Score, which is how many different things are saying we should be long. The second number is the Short Score, which is how many different things are saying we should be short. The greater the difference between those two numbers, the more bias that instrument has towards a particular side of the market. So, an instrument that has a score of 8:0 (net score of +8) is more biased to the long side than an instrument with a score of 9:2 (net score of +7).

So, combining the two, you would want to look for instruments in the longer time interval that have a highest bias for a particular side, while looking for a confirming Long or Short entry on the shorter time interval.
